Competence Center

The Competence Center Off-highway Control Systems of OSB AG specializes in software and system development for mobile work machines, primarily in agricultural engineering but also in construction engineering and municipal technology. For more than 10 years, our experts have been focusing their efforts on the development of state-of-the-art control and communication software.

This allows mobile machines to be controlled in many areas, such as the drive and diagnosis functions. Furthermore, we enable visualization of user interfaces via graphical user terminals, the logging of operating and process data as well as the control of implements. We use technologies such as automated boom section control and geo-based application rate.

The control of all user terminals, implements and self-propelled machines may be achieved not only with proprietary solutions but also with the aid of the industry-specific protocol J1939 and the ISO 11783 protocol – also referred to as ISOBUS – which builds on J1939 in the agricultural sector .

Our Competence Center is active in further developing ISO 11783 and its applicability.

Depending on requirements and your wishes, we will support you in the conceptual design and development phases or assume the entire handling of the project through to series maturity – for instance with the following services:

  • Training on ISO 11783/ISOBUS and ISOAgLib

Products

  • Another advantage for our customers comes in the form of our self-developed software packages and program libraries, which allow you to generate the basis for particularly efficient developments. These are available in different versions – from the open-source communication deck ISOAgLib to the vtdesigner tool and the S-Version of ISOAgLib that has been optimized for functional safety.
